Background

Mona's Makeover

The goal of Mona's Makeover was to create a brand identity that reflected both physical beauty and spiritual transformation. The client specifically requested the inclusion of butterflies and the Bible verse 2 Corinthians 5:17, as both are central to the mission of the brand.

The butterfly became the primary visual symbol because it represents growth, renewal, and transformation—mirroring the client's desire to help women experience beauty from the inside out. Rather than using a detailed illustration, I created a clean line-art butterfly that integrates naturally with the typography, allowing the symbol to feel like part of the logo instead of a separate graphic.

To reinforce the message of transformation, I incorporated 2 Corinthians 5:17 directly into the identity:

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

This verse communicates the foundation of the brand's mission: that true beauty begins with spiritual renewal. Including the scripture within the logo creates a consistent reminder of the values the business represents.

The typography balances elegance with strength. A flowing script for "Mona's" conveys femininity and grace, while the bold serif treatment of "MAKEOVER" provides structure and confidence. The soft blue color palette further reinforces feelings of peace, trust, and renewal, creating a brand identity that feels welcoming, refined, and faith-centered.

The final identity captures the client's vision of a beauty brand that goes beyond appearance, communicating transformation, confidence, and new life through both its visual elements and its biblical foundation.
