The Design Behind the Wedding Logo:

A wedding logo should do more than combine two initials. It should capture the story of the couple and preserve it in a way they'll remember long after the wedding day.

For this first project (W&D), the bride came to me wanting to surprise her groom with something deeply personal. One of the first things she shared was that they constantly use two specific butterfly emojis when texting each other. Rather than simply placing butterflies into the design, I wanted them to become part of the story.

The butterflies represent the excitement they feel when they're together—that familiar feeling of butterflies in your stomach. I also intentionally included three butterflies to symbolize the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Because faith is central to their relationship, it was important that the logo reflected not only who they are as a couple, but also the foundation their relationship is built upon.

Every curve, symbol, and detail was designed to communicate something meaningful. My goal wasn't just to create a beautiful wedding logo, but to create a visual keepsake that tells their story. Years from now, I want them to be able to look back at the logo and remember not only their wedding day, but the love, faith, and little details that made their relationship uniquely theirs.

To me, that's what meaningful design is: taking someone's story and translating it into something they can see, hold, and remember.

The Design Behind the Wedding Logo:

For this second wedding logo (S&J), I wanted every element to represent a meaningful part of Sharon and Jordan's story rather than simply decorate the design.

The bride shared that elephants had become a significant symbol throughout their relationship, so I incorporated three elephants into the logo. The number three was intentional, representing the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Since faith is at the center of their relationship, I also placed a cross at the heart of the monogram, serving as a reminder that Christ is the foundation of their marriage.

Another important part of their story was their shared love of LEGO. Instead of placing LEGO bricks and florals as separate elements, I combined the two by transforming the LEGO pieces into florals. This symbolizes two lives being built together while also reflecting the beauty and growth of their relationship. It also ties directly into the floral theme of their wedding.

Finally, the entire logo was designed using the wedding's color palette so it became an extension of the celebration rather than just a mark on paper. Every detail, from the hidden symbols to the color choices, was intentionally woven together to tell their story.

The result is more than a wedding logo. It is a visual representation of their relationship, one built on faith, strengthened through shared experiences, and rooted in the beauty of the life they are building together.
